Description
Following its launch in 1959 the classic Mini was soon on its
way to becoming a global icon especially after partnering with Cooper in the
early 60’s to develop the fabled Cooper & Cooper S variants. Not long after
the Cooper S’s release it was entered in the Monte Carlo Rallye which
sensationally it won in 1964 & 65. Production of the classic Mini continued
until 2000 when the last one rolled off the production line however this was
swiftly followed by the new generation BMW Mini which launched in the same
year. Scorpion have been producing performance exhausts for the classic and new
generation Mini’s for over 30 years, so it was natural that we became chief
technical partner with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge race series ensuring
true track to road technology transfer for our products.
