Description
With a heritage spanning over 120 years Triumph have been
responsible for some of the world’s most iconic models from “the world’s first
superbike” the Thunderbird in the 1940’s, the world land speed record breaking
650 Bonneville of the 50’s and the first ever 100 MPH lap on a production
motorcycle again the Bonneville at the IOM TT in 1969. Through to the modern
era where Triumph have grown to be the UK’s largest motorcycle manufacturer
with models including the Daytona, Speed & Street Triples plus the Trident.
Scorpion has a long history of producing performance exhausts for a vast array
of Triumphs over the years so much so that we were the official exhaust
supplier for the Triumph Triple Challenge race series again ensuring true track
to road technology transfer.
The new 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 sport is a slightly less
powerful version of their widely popular Tiger 900. The 888cc engine produces
84bhp, which is slightly less than the Tiger 900 at 94bhp. But the new Scorpion
Slip on system is CNC Mandrel tube bent to allow a greater gas flow resulting
in an increase to the 850’s BHP bridging the power gap between the two models.
Available directly from Triumph is an A2 Restriction kit
which drops the engine power to 47bhp allowing less experienced riders the
opportunity to ride the bigger style adventure bikes.
The new Scorpion slip on is constructed from premium T304
stainless steel pipework and comes with a full fitting kit allowing for a straightforward
installation.
Riders can select from three Serket Parallel finishes, Black
Ceramic, Brushed Stainless Steel or Titanium. The installation of the new
system requires no changes to the bikes standard settings and doesn't require a
remap. You simply fit and ride!
The product offers the bike a generous weight reduction to
further improve performance. Riders will be able to enjoy a much deeper rich sportier
tone with an improved acoustic range being delivered.
TRACK TO ROAD ADVANTAGE
Nothing beats that feeling of knowing you’re riding on an authentic race grade product and Scorpion pretty much pioneered the concept of technology transfer by sharing everything which works on the track with you the rider.
Ultra-light weight materials, hours spent on the dyno and durability testing is at the heart of our extensive development program. From the moment you fire up your new Scorpion, the heart begins to race, and adrenalin starts to flow. Upgrade to Scorpion and bring out the racer in you.
