SEAT now part of the VAG group of companies is Spain’s largest car manufacturer and has a history stretching back over 70 years. During the mid-1980’s SEAT sport was founded as a separate motorsport division and went on to gain success winning titles in the World Rally Championship and World Touring Cars. It was only natural following on from these success’s that they would channel the knowledge gained into fast road cars for which since the 1990’s Scorpion have been producing performance exhausts. Our leading technicians have developed through rigorous trial and testing a 76mm/3” GPF-back system(s) for the SEAT Leon Cupra 2.0 TSI 290 GPF model. Our precision engineered exhausts utilise our prestigious track to road technology and research, this gives our development engineers the ability to transfer and share race proven technologies with our road going customers. Fabricated using premium high thermal tolerance T304 motorsport grade stainless steel tube that will endure through the harshest of conditions.
Shaping our large bore pipework using CNC Mandrel bent construction unleashes yet untapped performance by allowing a greater flow of exhaust gas to pass through the system with less obstruction. This often results in our exhausts providing a sharper throttle response and a measurable increase in BHP. Our manufacturing process also yields weight-saving gains when compared to the OE system. With all these improvements packed into our exhausts it’s no-wonder that upgrading with Scorpion has been described as, taking the driving experience to the next level!
We’re offering the GPF-back system as either resonated or non-resonated. Resonated systems are fitted with a centre-silencer to minimise undesirable drone, whilst still maintaining performance figures all without compromising on the unrivalled Scorpion soundtrack. Whereas non-resonated systems omit the original centre-silencer and results in a louder exhaust note.
Our signature range of Scorpion tailpipes are instantly recognisable due to their popularity with performance enthusiasts worldwide, maintaining Scorpion’s unwavering standard of build-quality. Providing the option to tailor the aesthetics of our systems to suit individual taste has always been a priority, for this reason we offer a selection of styles and finishes depending on the cars model and manufacturer.
Leon drivers can choose from 155mm x 105mm EVO R tailpipes, these are offered as polished or black ceramic.
Drivers wanting to take the next step in exhaust performance, Scorpion technicians have provided the solution with our sports catalyst or de-cat downpipe(s) (for closed circuit use only). Sports catalyst downpipes are fitted with a 200 cell, high-flow performance catalyst which has a much greater flow over OEM. De-cat downpipes remove the catalyst all-together resulting in unobstructed gas-flow and is perfectly engineered for those pushing the boundaries of exhaust performance.
Lastly, we are offering a 70mm/2.75” OEM centre silencer delete section. This removes the original centre silencer and results in a louder exhaust note, all-whilst retaining the OE back-box (rear silencer). This is best for those who wish to improve upon the existing OE system and tune more conservatively.
