Scorpion Exhausts welcomed the legend, Ron Haslam to it’s state of the art manufacturing facility in Ripley, Derbyshire on Tuesday.
Ron Haslam, a highly regarded English motorcycle racer and Scorpion official test pilot from Langley Mill in Derbyshire is the main man behind the famous “Ron Haslam Race School” based at local circuit, Donington Park. Scorpion has been close technical partners with the school for over 10 years, supporting it with a range of hand built exhaust systems for the schools bikes. One of the newest exhausts is a specialist, bespoke set-up for the latest CBR1000RR Fireblade which is used in the elite training package.
Scorpion’s technicians worked incredibly hard to design an exhaust for the CBR1000RR which effectively reduced dB levels enough to run the bikes on track without damaging the CBR’s well regarded performance. In fact, Scorpion’s track system actually increases the blades power and livens up throttle response. This is all down to Scorpion’s expert research and development team, a team that has gained many years experience in developing exhausts for race teams in series around the world, including World Super Bikes and British Super Bikes.
