Formed in the late 60’s South Koreas largest car manufacturer Hyundai had a reputation of producing middle of the road family saloons but all that changed with the formation of the Hyundai Motorsport division. Debuting in WRC during 2014 they were soon on the podium and progressed to win back-to-back manufacturers titles, keen to transfer this success and knowledge gained through motorsport to the road Hyundai’s N division was formed and in 2018 unleashed the marques first true hot hatch the i30N. The success of the i30N saw EXCELR8 Motorsport introduce Hyundai to the BTCC in 2020 where they’ve enjoyed continued success and with Scorpions involvement ensures true track to road technology transfer.

GPF-Back System:

Our experienced technicians have developed a 76mm/3” GPF-back system with twin 114mm tailpipes for the Hyundai I30 N GPF model.

This exhaust is non-resonated, meaning it comes without a centre silencer. This option removes the original silencer, resulting in a louder sound.

Does our system retain valve functionality? Yes! Drivers can continue to control the car's soundtrack via the mode select button inside the car. This allows the ECU to modulate the sound levels emitted from your Scorpion exhaust.

Once installed, the new freer-flowing GPF-back system ensures efficient expulsion of exhaust gases, improving the vehicle's power delivery and sharpening throttle response while also reducing overall weight.

Tailpipe Styles:

Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.

Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.

Indy: Often referred to as the OEM-plus option, the Indy style features a noticeable inward-rolled edge, offering a refined upgrade over standard aesthetics without being too bold or flashy.

Tailpipe Finishes:

Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining (Daytona/Indy).

Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish (Daytona/Indy).

GPF Delete:

What benefits does a GPF delete provide? This additional pipework eliminates the highly restrictive GPF filter, which otherwise drastically muffles the exhaust tone, creates excessive back-pressure, and limits tuning potential (motorsport use only).

Will this trigger an Engine Management Light (EML)? Our re-developed delete section, featuring special airflow technology, prevents the EML from being activated.

This can be optioned as either resonated (fitted with a silencer to reduce drone and provide a more refined sound) or non-resonated (without a silencer, resulting in a louder exhaust note).

Front Flex:

Why is a flex pipe a necessary upgrade? A flex pipe helps reduce vibrations from the engine and exhaust, preventing them from being transmitted into the chassis and felt by the car's occupants. It accommodates movement, vibration, and thermal expansion, protecting both engine and exhaust components.
