Zanotti Struggles at Wet Oulton Park
18th July 2007

Aaron was dissapointed with his performance at Oulton Park in the eighth round of the Bennets British Superbikes.

It wasnt just Aaron that was struggling with the rain however, during Fridays free practise session twenty two riders including Aaron fell victim to Druids corner.

During a dry qualifying session Aaron managed to put the bike on the grid in 22nd place. The rain returned for the first race, which caused many riders to fall, Aaron managed to stay on the bike and finish in 16th place.

Race 2 started without the previous races rain but the track was still soaked. A typical Zannotti start saw Aaron atapult into 18th before the end of the first lap. By the 6th lap Aaron had managed to take 15th place. Around the halfway point however Aarons Yamaha developed an electrical fault leaving him running on 3 cylinders, this wasnt too much of a problem given the wet track but on lap 10 the problem righted itself as Aaron was exiting a corner and the sudden increase in power caused Aarrons rear tyre to let go of the track and dumped him in the dirt at Islands Corner.

• Great Power
• Great Sound
