RIPLEY Scorpions Ladies Netball team made light work of the absence of the unavailable Julie Ellis as they gunned Bandits down 32-20 last Wednesday in the Friesland League.
Despite another sluggish start, the Scorpions defence kept the team in it before they got their act together at the other end just before half time to go in leading 14-7.
The second half saw the two shooters click again, a feature which enabled the side to go on and avenge an earlier defeat in the league.
Players of the match were Isobel Leonard (GD) and Vesna Hurst (GK).
Scorpions were scheduled to face Follies on Wednesday of this week and they take on Thornbirds next Wednesday (Jan 24) at 8pm.
