Jagger Racing finish 10th in championship
After arriving at the circuit Phil recieved some bad news, his mechanic Darren had rang and said he couldnt make it due to a serious stomach bug.
Fridays practise session was still fairly successful with Phil lapping just outside his PB.
Qualifying on the Saturday was joined by the Sound of Thunder machines making the narrow track very tricky.
Race one was red flagged with less than one lap gone after a high speed crash at Chris Curve. After the restart Phil was having trouble with the front forks of the bike this resulted in a 15th place finish in race one.
Race two started much the same way as race one, the red flag was shown very early on. This time the Gooseneck was the place of the incident. Due to the severity of this accident the race was reduced to 6 laps in lengths. Again Phil was having trouble with the handling of the bike. This caused him to finish in 14th place.
Sunday was full of glorious sunshine this helped Phil get on to the second row of the grid after qualifying in 8th place.
Race one was off to a great start with Phil setting consistently quick laptimes. As the race wore on Phil started to slip back. On the last lap Phil pushed a little too hard out braking himself and ended up on the grass of Park. Phil managed to keep the bike under control and get himself back on the track. Unfortunately when he opened the throttle the back tyre spun and high sided him off the bike. This low speed incident caused Phil to break hi collarbone putting an end to the weekend.
Phil and the team were dissappointed with this result, although some comfort could be gained from the 10th place overall that had been taken by Jagger Racing.
