Zanotti fails to finish at Cadwell
30th August 2006

The 11th round at Cadwell Park proved somewhat problematic for Aaron, from the start there was set up problems with the bike. A compromised setup was eventually found.

This enabled Aaron to start from 12th place on the grid. He quickly made progress through the field and by mid race was battling for 6th place which on lap 9 he took. Only to loose grip at the Gooseneck and slide across the tarmac. The handlebars had completely snapped and the bike was now unrideable.

The damage was not however confined to the bike, with Aaron having trapped his foot between the bike and the tarmac. This had ground through his boots and 2 of his toes.

Aaron was rushed to the medical medical centre for emergency treatment then on to the Queens Medical Centre for an operation on his foot. He was discharged late on Sunday and is recovering at home hopefully in time for the next round at Silverstone on the 15,16,17 September.
